I decided to take a month off to finish unpacking and generally getting my life back on track. I'm really surprised at how this track ended up - I was trying to write a Indie Rock tune ala Arctic Monkeys, but I feel like it's a bit "heavier" than they tend to get.
I'm gonna stay mum on the subject - but I'd love to hear some theories on what the lyrical content is about. Anyways...enjoy!
lyrics
THE IN-BETWEEN
Living a life that only some could dream
Having a blast in the in-between
Only the top shelf will ever please
Having a blast in the in-between
Neither here nor there
I'm alive and everywhere
Take it, it's all yours
It's all up in the air
Neither man nor machine, it's all me
Living a life that only some could dream
Having a blast in the in-between
Only the top shelf will ever please
Having a blast in the in-between
Sheltered from the storm
And hidden by the lee
I've laid out all the odds
And possibilities
Only one truth path I can see
Living a life that only some could dream
Having a blast in the in-between
Only the top shelf will ever please
Having a blast in the in-between
Days and nights all blur and fade
Time will forget what we made
Living a life that only some could dream
Having a blast in the in-between
Only the top shelf will ever please
Having a blast in the in-between
